“I’m here to let the cellulite and body hair fly!”

Lindsay Johnson on dismantling internalized fatphobia

Show Notes

Lindsay Johnson (they/them/theirs) is a fat, queer entrepreneur turned fat joy activist here to dismantle the internalized fatphobia that exists within fat people. They’re here to share tips for self care, boundary setting, and giving ourselves grace, especially when fat folks are excluded from activities or socially.

Lindsay Johnson, is a Fat Joy Activist known as @FantasticalFatty on TikTok and Instagram. As a fat, queer, nonbinary human living in a marginalized body, Lindsay knows first-hand how cruel our society is to fat people … and that it’s total BS! Lindsay’s journey from decades of weight cycling, size obsession, and disordered eating to body liberation, disengaging from toxic diet culture, and unlearning the fat-equals-bad myth has led them to spreading Fat Joy around the internet like confetti! Lindsay’s on a mission to help fat folks free themselves from internalized fatphobia and discover appreciation, adoration, and joy in their bodies. They will never stop pointing out the absurdity of fatphobia in all its forms to help you give self-objectification the middle finger and embody your own Fat Joy. You deserve to take up space, live a full-bodied life (pun intended), and experience more joy than you can handle while loving ALL of you.
